Celebrating 75th Independence Day

India celebrates the 75th Independence Day as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The words are very apt, poignant and meaningful. It is going to be a ‘milestone Mahotsav’ to commemorate the great historic event. During this Mahotsav, our nation shall be celebratingthe achievements since independence but the priority is first to pay tributes to the freedom fighters and martyrswhose sacrifices made freedom a reality. It is their long-sufferings and commitmentsthat paved the way for the transition of power from the British to‘We, the people of India’.

We salute all those courageous heroes who fought for the freedom and dignity of the future generations. Our Defence Forces too deserve our gratitude for protecting the earned -freedom and sovereignty of the country.Every countryman from the nook and corner of the nation will join together to fly the flag of victory for India.

Today, our country is on the road to progress, prosperity, peace and harmony. Our achievements are mind-boggling in several sectors. We have buried the ill-effects of foreign rule, the bad legacies of the colonial rulers, and have also buried the days of hunger. We had the green revolution, the white revolution and currently we are in the middle of yet another revolution, which is in the communication field.  Aflashback on our 75 years of freedom, will reveal, beyond all doubts, the amazing unity of thepeople of India despite the repeated attempts of inimical forces to undermine our growth and to question our role in world politics.

India’s Independence Day is celebrated every year by NLDS volunteers. We hoist the national flag across various locations, followed by community awarenessprograms. NLDS pay tribute to the freedom fighters and all others who made Independence very meaningful to all Indians. We try to motivate people to eradicate social evils and to liberate people from clutches of illiteracy, ignorance, poverty, etc.

NLDS look forward to greater achievements and laurels for all Indians and the motherland in the years to come.  Let us march for the peace and prosperity to all citizens of this ancient nation.

We wish a Happy Independence Day, to all our brothers and sisters

Jai Hind.
