Total sanitation campaign is a community-led  program that we initiated for a demand-driven and people-centered sanitation program. In broader aspect, it is part of rural sanitation program in India. Our main goal of Total Sanitation Campaign is to eradicate the practice of open defecation . Community-led total sanitation is not focused on building infrastructure, but on changing cultural norms to prevent open defecation. Awareness programs, street plays and literatures are some common tools which we use for campaign.
